We've had a run of lovely warm sunny weather in Kent and it makes me think of summer! My garden is looking quite advanced for end of May. I thought I'd giveaway a gorgeous oilcloth bag that absolutely reeks of summer. I've used these fab frames which come from Kleins.
If you've never been to Kleins and you're up in London you should pay them a visit. I had only shopped on line with them until a couple of months ago. I found myself in London and called into the shop. I was quite surprised. It is quite a small shop but it is packed to the gunnells with every type of sewing and bag making item you could possibly want. The staff are very knowledgeable and helpul too.
Sorry, back to the giveaway. This bag is made from red floral oilcloth on the outside and pretty tiny red and white check on the inside. It has a zippered interior pocket and two interior slip pockets. I've made the handle (which is detachable) so that you can carry it in your hand or on your elbow, or over your shoulder.
Handy eh? It is a good size for summer when you need to carry extras like your sunglasses and perhaps a bottle of water. The bag without the straps measures 9.5 (24cms) inches high, 11 inches (28cms) across the bottom and 9 inches (23cms) across the frame.
To win this bag all you have to do is leave a comment on this post and mention this post on line - facebook, twitter, blog etc. You need to say in your comment how you've mentioned this post. I will choose one winner on Wednesday 1st June, so check back to see if you've won. As always, international entries are welcome.
I wanted to make a square bag with a zip across the top. I came across this tutorial at Sew Like My Mom The tutorial is easy to follow so I am going to give it a go.
Finally, I've been trying to make a new website with BlueVoda and oscommerce but I'm finding it really difficult. So if anyone has any advice please email me. I've resorted to shouting at the programme now and Jessie the Sewing Wonder Dog is getting concerned!
