Fabulous fabric giveaway.

You may have come across this shop, or maybe not, but it is a fab shop for modern, designer or vintage inspired cotton fabric.  It is called Fancy Moon and just to visit is to be inspired. They have offered me 2 metres to be given away to one of my lucky winners.  This will be fabric of your choice.  I thought I would use this prize to celebrate this blog reaching 500 members.  This is a wonderful prize for a sewer or for someone who knows a sewer!  Here's how to enter:  Leave a comment on this post saying which fabric from Fancy Moon is your favourite.  As usual leave a contact so I get in touch with you.  International enties are welcome.  Because I am a bit busy next week I will draw the winner on Monday 20th June.  Here's one of my favourites at present:

Here's my latest make for Sew Hip magazine.  It's a laptop sleeve with a strap.  It's not particulary earth shattering but if you want to carry your laptop in a pretty sleeve it is perfect!
I've also made two bags for Nel Whatmore from her beautiful fabric.  She wanted two squarish bags with stuffed "sausage" handles.  She also wanted them reversible so this is what I did:

I hope she likes them.

Oh my goodness, so many of these fabrics are gorgeous! I'm finding such a hard time choosing..
There are several I love, but I think that my absolute favorite is
"French Journal Bleu Paris" by Michael Miller. It's so vintage looking and the colors are marvelous! I would love to make some clutches out of it if I win!
xx Erin

I had never heard of this site before but I'm SURE my mum would absolutely adore it! I'll be sure to let her know about it, she's the sewer in the family!

As for my favourite: http://www.fancymoon.co.uk/fantastic-forest-pink-2005-0.html
The Fantastic Forest Pink is just to die for. Although I had a hard time choosing only one!

How strange this is the second blog I've visited in the last 5 mins praising the virtues of Fancy Moon. So hard to choose all fabrics are gorgeous but i think I could make a nice, funky apron out of the Dill Blossoms Lime. Thanks for hosting

Hi Christine, congratulations on having 500 followers.

Oh my goodness, there are so many wonderful fabrics its a struggle to pick a favourite. But if I only had enough money for one I think it would be Vintage Art Store in jade - I love all the buttons and sewing ephemera. Of course then I'd have to raid my piggy bank for the Couturier buttons fabric!

I love your ideas! So clever and inspirational! I would have to say, after much deliberation, that "Poppy Bouquet Grey" is my most favorite fabric.

Maybe I'm boring, but I really like the dots - especially the red and browns. :) Fun looking at all the fabrics! Some of the stripes were neat, too.
