I've been posting tutorials for little projects (like the above picture) on this blog for some time now. (You can find them all in the right side column of this page) Since I have been posting them in PDF I get notified every time they are downloaded. Now I know they have been downloaded LOADS of times. I am hoping this means that some of you have actually made items from these. I would love to see some. To this end I have set up a Flickr group called:
sewchristine-tutorials I would be delighted if you could pop a photo or two in there of what you have made. It would be great to see, and helpful to other sewers to look at. Please let me look at what you've done!

I am giving away this clutch bag to someone who leaves a comment at the end of this post. All you have to do is leave a comment and then check back on Tuesday 15th September to see if you've won. If you are the lucky winner you need to email me with your real name and address. It is a very pretty clutch in Martha Negley fabric I got from here and lined with a pretty co-ordinating floral. It has a matching handmade brooch on the front that can be removed, zippered closing and glass bead decoration.
There is a little story to the above clutch. I had a pretty metal frame and a pattern. I cut out the fabric, interfacing and lining, according to the pattern. I then sewed it all up and glued the frame ready for insertion. That's when I realized I had made the purse for a smaller frame and it didn't fit! Rather than throw it all away I altered it and made this little clutch. So leave a comment and get a free mistake ha ha!
