One Finished Dress

I've finished a dress for one of my grand daughters. It has little cats on a white background and I dressed it up with ric-rac and braid. I've made cute matching trousers. We just need some warmer weather now!

My girls at home

Yippee! Picked up my chickens yesterday. They come from a farm near me and have been raised in a barn so they are pretty timid about being outside and keep congregating behind their house. They are "point of lay" (not little chicks) I guess about 16 weeks old. They're very pretty. Expect the odd reference to them in future posts. I got 5 altogether and if they are good layers I can expect 30-35 eggs a week. Enough for me, my friends and relatives!A little while ago I did a post on egg cosies. Well with Easter nearly here I thought I'd do a link to that tutorial so you can make some of these. They make a great gift by themselves or added to a little china eggcup with an egg sized chocolate egg.
